The Project: Philharmonic Without Borders
Philharmonic Without Borders: Democratizing Music is an artistic outreach and community engagement initiative designed to bring symphonic music to historically underserved communities in Bucaramanga and its metropolitan area.
During the 2026–2028 period, the project includes:
• 120 concerts organized across 30 concert cycles.
Each cycle includes:
- 3 free concerts in non-traditional spaces: neighborhoods, schools, and community centers.
- 1 gala concert in one of the region’s leading auditoriums or theaters.
• Hiring of local musicians and support staff to strengthen the orchestra
• Purchase of musical instruments and technical equipment to ensure artistic excellence
• A communication and community engagement strategy to foster cultural participation
This project will strengthen the Santander Philharmonic Orchestra as a sustainable cultural platform, while also enabling additional concerts across the region, supporting the orchestra’s operational continuity, and developing benefit concerts and fundraising campaigns to provide scholarships for more children and young people within the Foundation’s symphonic and choral ecosystem.
